Thomas Pink Limited is a British shirt-maker that was established in London in 1984 by three Irish brothers – James, Peter, and John Mullen. Since 1999 it has been part of the Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy group. In 2018 it lost £23.5 million; in 2019 it changed its brand name to Pink Shirtmaker.

A question was thrown in STYLE FORUM on regards IF THOMAS PINK CONSIDERED QUALITY? A member under the name of ¨Northampton Novice¨shared some thoughts: "There was a time not so long where Thomas Pink provided excellent value for money. But ever since they expanded their retail base & increased the number of licensees to their manufacture products, things began to go downhill. It's approaching near a decade since this demise in value became a factor for their traditional client base. Whilst their shirts are considerably better in quality terms than say, TM Lewin, as earlier posters have alluded they cost several times more so there is no value for money unless bought in their sales. You are better off with T&A or a few doors down and a little dearer, Emma Willis."

"A typical day at work is very slow. I feel as if I haven’t grown from this company. Therefore, I haven’t learned as much as I hope I would. Manager gives us such a hard time. Cons: Manager, too slow, over priced"

"The brand itself has a great reputation and it’s products are quality. However as a brand there is no real cohesive plan for it’s future. It wants to become a Luxury brand from the premium level brand that it currently is but seems unaware of how to bring this about. It could be an exceptional Premium brand with a few simple tweaks to its current operation but is quick to call itself a small business and operate as such rather than take the next step and start operating as the much larger business it has become. It will not be long before this brand begins to close more of its stand alone operations and become a solely concessioner brand with large overseas franchise operations. Cons: The HO team all seem to be hiding their heads in the sand, more concerned about themselves than the brand as a whole."

"The company has a new CEO so is currently going through a lot of changes to be inline with LVMH standards. Currently there are a lot of good perks such as getting time back and time owed for working Bank holidays, Sundays and getting your birthday and anniversary off. Pay is being reviewed and for new starters is very good and way above the minimum wage. This is not however, liner thought management."

"Good coworkers and team. Free lunches sometimes, nice place to work. Beautiful, but the brand is a little bit unfamous in France. So sometimes it was nobody and it was a long day."

"Horrible pay, expect to do 5 different jobs and get paid for one, huge shipment 2 times a week, need to put price stickers on everything and put it away while you are open and balancing helping customers people walking in. So much projects to do then you get represented for not being able to clientele. Bored corporate people with nothing to do make check list or unneeded stuff to just add on to more tasks you need to complete for the day. They claim you get $500 for referring someone to work- that is overly taxed and you only get 100 if that. HR is horrible, can't go to her for anything, and has a major attitude problem. Over worked, company is going down and has closed stores, stay away. Cons: Short breaks, poor managment, HR is horrible"

"In life you sometimes have to follow the road that you are on without resistance. In this case Thomas Pink was great experience. The work environment wasn't all that great. The people who worked there made it all the better. The customers are ridiculous and corporate was a force not to be reckoned with. But in the last year or so they finally got a U.S. president, a director of stores who would build the employees up not break them down and most of all they received some DIRECTION. So I am more than sure it is better now than it has been in the last 5 years."

"Dusting ,polishing,,dusting polishing as because it was quiet and our manager obsessed with cleaning a large part of our day was spent doing this.Most enjoyable part was the customer interaction and satisfying the customers needs with our detailed product knowledge we provided.I learned everything about a mens shirt ,a vast anatomical knowledge and about how to approach price resistant customers.Least enjoyable part managers that sat in the office watching the camera pretending to do non existent paperwork."

"Greatest competitor in meeting your goals is Thomas Pink online reach out. Once someone becomes your customer it goes into the system and they begin regular mail outs online to your customer with free shipping. But in all honesty this is becoming a norm for many retail outlets and being bottom line is profit it is the right thing to do. Having said that, to then turn around and go after individuals or stores not making their goals when you are taking their customer is the wrong part."

"Very easy place to work and if you love great shirts, it's awesome. Work was simple, stock, clean, fold and assist clients. Inventory is very consuming but it's only twice a year. I enjoyed the visual aspect of the job."

"The company as a whole is very poorly managed. Floorsets are so disorganized. Nothing they do makes sense. Its very frustrating from a sales staff perspective. Cons: Poor upper management"

"My wife bought me a shirt for my birthday. She bought it well in advance and saved it for gifting on my birthday. It's one size too big. But unfortunately, it's well past the 14 day limit (very short) and now Thomas Pink will not accept it for refund."

"I greatly like Thomas Pink shirts, ties, blazers and cufflinks. They are a solid choice for business. My negative review is solely based upon my disappointment that the outlet store at Clarksburg Outlet in Maryland, USA is no longer truly offering outlet prices consistent with their early practice. Yes, I can afford the higher price but for everyday business I believe that Charles Tyrwhitt and other similar level British shirt makers are better value for the money. If one wants the quality of Turnbull & Asser, Hawes & Hudson or some of the other great names one can find on Jermyn Street in London, go for it as I will do at times. Pink had been my business step up to Tyrwhitt, but perhaps no longer. Just a thought."

"Cheshire oaks outlet store, was in there for a few mins trying to find right size shirt, staff not offered to help,just stood behind the till talking, went next door to Hackett and bought shirts there instead, can't abide uninterested shop staff."

"Thomas Pink sent the wrong shirt! I returned the shirt expecting the refund to be processed automatically. However 7 days after the shirt was received by Thomas Pink I have still not received my refund! I have emailed Thomas Pink 3 times requesting the refund and have not received a reply to any of my emails! Update 11 days passed and still no refund but Thomas Pink have contacted me (only yesterday evening) to ask me to send all the relevant information again because they stated "we have been out of office" not sure what that means! Very poor service seriously would not consider buying anything from Thomas Pink again Update 30th Jan Thomas Pinks' response today to not replying to my previous emails is for me to email the same email address again! Still haven't received my refund so would suggest Thomas Pink customer service stop sending standard paragraphs to me and read all the emails I have sent them and arrange a refund as they have had the returned goods for 2 weeks now! Very poor customer service being compounded by incompetence."

"The shirts changed in quality a lot over the past few years. Used to be a favorite and have a closet filled with them, but alas, no more. Indeed, I have a ripped shirt that is very clearly a manufacturing defect. After contacting them, the offered to look at it at my own expense. Then after sending detailed pictures again, they offered to look at it again, at my own expense. Then, after asking again, they offered to reimburse my shipping of the shirt. While that may seem like a nice offer and they were polite (and other companies offer a label to print at home cf. an online return), I have little faith they will honor that after noting others in the same situation had to repetitively argue for this. In fact, why not simply offer the label? I suspect this is a systemic issue in the customer service and shift in shirt quality. Would take a lot for me to invest more in a closet filled with their shirts."

"I bought a number of white shirts from TP at about £60 each. After not nany wears the shirt and cuffshave gone 'grey' and marked. I believe that this should not happen witha 'premium' brand. I shall now try another shirt company. In reply to TP below - Yes, they are by telling me that the 'wear' is expected. I disagree completely and believe your other potential customers would too."
